Again this year, the Singing Members of the Orpheus Club of Philadelphia, your neighbors at 254 S. Van Pelt, cordially invite you to join us for our traditional carol singing in front of the Clubhouse on MONDAY EVENING, DECEMBER 19TH starting at 8:30 p.m. Differently this year, however, the Club is pleased to invite those interested to a reception with hot and cold beverages and light fare after our caroling in the street. Our house is decorated for the season, and we welcome you in!
We are extending this hospitality also in lieu of the invitation that has been extended in the past to see the dress rehearsal of our annual Twelfth Night Revels show. These performances which, as many of you know, are the centerpiece of the Club’s musical and social season and run in the Club’s small theater across the last two weekends in January and the first two weekends in February. If you have enjoyed the dress rehearsals to these shows in the past, there is time for you to join us as an Associate Members ahead of this year’s edition, see an actual performance and attend the black tie party. There is still even time to attend, as a member, our upcoming Christmas Concert on December 14th back at the Academy of Music, the Club’s ancestral home for its major concerts starting in the late 1800s!
Please let me know if you are interested in more information about membership in the Club which includes the three annual concerts and the Twelfth Night Revels along with other special events in the Clubhouse and around town. Joyce and I will look forward to seeing you for caroling on the 19th.
With best wishes for a joyous holiday season and the very best for the upcoming New Year.
