Christmas Concert:

The Academy of Music
Tuesday, December 14, 2021

We’re pulling out all the stops to welcome you back to live concertizing at our favorite magnificent venue. The program beginning our 150th season will be headlined by Andrea McArdle, who garnered a Tony-nomination as the original title character in the musical “Annie.” She has gone on to a distinguished career as leading ladies in Broadway, touring and regional productions.

Of course, Orpheus will entertain with holiday standards and reinterpretations of Christmas classics, and we will be joined by a string ensemble and the fabulous Fairmont Brass. Definitely something for everyone. We will also be providing attendance guidelines so that you can enjoy the festivities with your fellow Associates in safety and with peace of mind.

Tickets to our concerts are not sold individually but are included, along with other benefits, in Orpheus Club Associate Membership.

Mid-Winter Concert:

The Union League of Philadelphia

Wednesday, March 2nd, 8:30 pm
    – and –
Thursday, March 3, 8:30 pm

As we hit our stride in the 150th season’s Mid-winter Concert, we will capture the “Philly Flavor,” the universal nature and the brotherhood of the Orpheus Club. The best of the Doc and Wamp, our annual in-house musical competition, and some of OC’s diverse “in-house” groups will be on display, as well.

The cabaret style will permit a wide variety of musical numbers. Attend on the night of your choice and come early to enjoy the complimentary hors d’oeuvres and cash bar, optional pre-concert dinning (by reservation) and an after-concert recep- tion (cash bar) which will all be available at the Union League on BOTH nights.

Tickets to our concerts are not sold individually but are included, along with other benefits, in Orpheus Club membership.

The Twelfth Night Revels 2022

Watch for the mailing after the Christmas Concert on how to make your reservations via the member portal! The assigned-seating program will be used, allowing Members to request their performance date on a first-come, first-served basis. They will then be assigned seats. Associates may make reservations via the member portal for pre-Revels dinner at the Clubhouse, as available.

  • Friday, Saturday, Sunday: January 28th, 29th and 30th (matinee)
  • Thursday, Friday, Saturday: February 3rd, 4th and 5th
  • Friday and Saturday: February 11th and 12th

A gentle reminder that the dress for our concerts and Revels evening performances is Formal Attire. “Black Tie,” please! Or, better yet, Orpheus Colors!

Spring Concert:

Devon Horse Show Arena

Sunday, May 14th, 2022
    – and –
Rain Date Sunday, May 15th

By overwhelming popular demand, the Spring Concert grand finale of the Orpheus Club’s 150th season will be at this unique Main Line “musical venue.” The Associates in the stands will again be enjoying “picnics” and libations of their choice while being serenaded by the Singing Members from the champi- onship center ring of this storied facility.

The Music Committee will present a program of past and future musical arrangements, including the winning quartet of the OCQC competition in April, 2022 and our traditional reprise of favorite numbers from the Twelfth Night Revels. It will be the perfect jumping off point for the Orpheus Club’s second 150 years of quality male musical entertainment.

Tickets to our concerts are not sold individually but are included, along with other benefits, in Orpheus Club membership.

Orpheus Club Quartet Contest (OCQC)

Our beloved Associates will enjoy cocktails and exciting music then vote with their smartphones to crown the new champions, who will earn the honor of performing in our Spring Concert. Look for your email invitation in March.
